Description
Green Business Grants are provided by Southlondon.biz, the enterprise arm of Merton Chambers of Commerce (MCC), as part of a London Development Agency-funded Go Green scheme aimed at assisting companies in identifying and implementing measures to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their environmental impact.

The Go Green project assigns Greening Business Officers to work alongside companies to help them assess what environmentally-friendly measures could be suitable, how much the firm could save on energy and waste, and to assist them in drawing up an action plan to outline how the firm should implement the recommended energy efficient measures.

The Go Green project is free of charge to businesses at the initial review and discussion stage, with a small administration fee of £10 charged once an action plan has been agreed. Once an action plan has been finalised, businesses can then apply for small grants to support up to 50% of the total cost of implementing the energy efficiency measures.
